Home Spun girls U/13 wins 3rd place in Tshwane Primary Schools Softball Championship

The under 13 girls of Home Spun won 3rd place in a tough match against Louis Leipoldt. Leading 5-3 after 2 innings and ending up with a tie 5-5 after 3 innings meant a “sudden death” had to be played to determine the winner. Louis Leipoldt did not score score anything in their batting which meant Home Spun had to score 1 run to win the game. Starting with a runner on 2nd base, Home Spun scored the winning run after T’Manya hit the ball towards 1st base. Although she was tagged out and broke her hand in the process, she managed to get Arden aka Piesang to score the winning run. Well done to the girls who won the STAD league without losing a game.
